After being critically injured in 1994 everything in my life changed. I was laying comatose in the intensive care unit. The doctors told my family that there was a very good chance I would not survive. I view this point in time as my true birth as a human being. All my priorities up till then were wrong and therefore created negative consequences. I was working 60 to 80 hours a week in a field I was very good at but I hated. Because of my injuries, I could not work, I had to learn how to read and write again. I could not leave my house for six months because I would forget where I lived. I had no feeling in my right leg for two years. I essentially had to rebuild myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. What a fantastic gift!
I am extremely grateful for what I went through in 1994. Everything on this planet happens for a reason and it is up to us to learn and grow from the experience. Fortunately, I was hooked up with a cutting edge pain management clinic shortly after my accident. I learned here that the human body is very resilient and can overcome just about any trauma. It was such a great experience I became a program director at the clinic. I have been a ACE Certified trainer every since and am very greatful to have found Hidden Springs. I feel we are the next evolutionary step in health and wellness.
